While peacefully sleeping July 31, 2021,  Rhea Anderson Doran age 75 was called home to her Lord.  Her mission, work, and the love she shared among us, driven by her unflinching faith in God, are complete.

A native of West Palm Beach, she was born, raised and passed away in historic Northwood, the community she loved and served for decades.  A natural community leader, she was on a first name basis with police and politicians alike as she advocated for the best for her neighbors.  She was a graduate of Northboro and Palm Beach High School.  A nurse by original profession, then a nurse-paralegal, she was a leader too among her professional peers, serving them on many boards and associations, and being a mentor to countless co-workers.  In the home of her faith, Northwood Baptist Church, she was more than a member.  Her presence helped to define the community, in regular leadership roles and always through the inspiration of her Christian example that drew so many faithful to her side.

She treated her many friends like family, always loyal and always ready to sacrifice of herself to help another.  She wanted the best for everyone and in return challenged all to be their best, for themselves and others, by living by God’s will and word.

Rhea is survived by her daughter Diana “Dee”, (husband Gabriel), her beautiful granddaughters Maria (husband CJ), Kristine and Adrianna, her sister-in-law Josie, nieces and nephews and so many other dear friends who are grateful for all the life, laughter and tears that Rhea shared with them.

In her passing, Rhea is reunited with many dear friends and family, including her parents Raleigh and Genevieve Anderson and her brother Doug.

Rhea believed in the presence of angels and has taken her rightful place among them, undoubtedly joining in songs of love and praise, and passing around a pitcher of her favorite sweet tea.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 14, 2021, at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach.

In lieu of flowers Rhea requested that memorial contributions be made by mail to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, PO Box 8190,  Lakeland, FL  33820  or online.
