Robert Stanley Sullivan died peacefully at his residence, on Buttercup Circle, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, after an extended illness. Bob was born January 3, 1931, in Herkimer, New York. He was educated at Sona School by the Christian Brothers of Ireland. He then served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1954 he and Jean Stump married, and lived happily together for 65 wonderful years. They had three children, Tim, Stephanie, and Clark; and two grandchildren, Caylen, and Carley. Bob was employed by Brundage Motors, a Volkswagen distributor pioneer in Miami, in 1955. The company moved to Jacksonville in 1957 where it serviced Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina dealerships. He worked his way up to sales manager, travelling the three states. He left the company when the manager died, and moved his family to Palm Beach Gardens in 1970 where he late became night manager at the Breakers Palm Beach, and manager of Knights Inn. He retired in 1995 and was very active in his parish at the Cathedral of St. Igantius Loyola. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council #4999; was Past Grand Knight, twice; and was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Father Andrew Doherty Assembly #0155. he remained active until ill health began to limit activities. he is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and will be sogreatly missed by his loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when time and circumstances permit.
