TROY ALAN MARKLE

Troy Alan Markle, 60, passed away after a long, courageous fight against lung cancer at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. By his side and holding his hands when he passed were his brother, Brian , and his boss and long-time friend, Lisa McAmis. He was born on March 26, 1963, in Connecticut, to Vernon Charles Markle and Alice May Davis.

Troy moved to Florida in 1973 where he later attended Palm Beach Gardens Highschool. Troy started working for Prosperity Dredging Company in Palm Beach Gardens and then DL Milling Family LLC in Stuart for more than 38 years. He was a loyal employee, a great friend, and an honest man. He was an avid wrestling fan, loved his dogs, and relished going to Juno Dubois Beach whenever he had the chance. He will be greatly missed.

Troy is preceded in death by Vernon Charles Markle (Father), Alice May Davis (Mother) as well as his beloved nephews, Brian Charles Markle and Charles Lee Markle.

Troy is survived by his two children; daughter, Evelyn May Markle (Chillicothe, Ohio), and son, Troy Jason Markle (Lake Charles, Louisiana), as well as two brothers, Brian Lee Markle (Loxahatchee, Florida) and Kenneth Robert Smith (Pine Grove, Pennsylvania), a sister, Victoria Lynn Markle (Colonial Beach, Virginia) and niece, Jennifer Fox (Pennsylvania).

A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date and the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cancercare.org.
