Angelo LaRosa age 85 passed away peacefully at home with family on June 17th.He was a husband, a father, a brother, a cousin, a grandfather, and a great grandfather.Together with his surviving wife Pat, he had 12 children, 23 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by one son and two grandchildren.Angelo was born in New Jersey to parents Angelo Sr. and Concetta LaRosa, with brothers Joe,Paul, and a predeceased brother Anthony. He was a proud veteran with service in the Navyfrom 1954-1958 aboard the USS Antietam. He loved telling stories about his old buddies andthe times they shared while serving.Angelo worked at chemical/chase bank for almost 50 years, and this is where he met his foreverlove and wife Pat. In 1998 they retired and moved to South Florida.Angelo was a true believer in Jesus Christ and was a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Francis ofAssisi. It gave him pleasure to serve by doing volunteer work with Saint Francis of Assisi and St.Vincent DePaul society. Angelo was also a member of the Knights of Columbus council 4999.He was a devout Christian who loved going to church and sharing stories with parishioners.Some of his other hobbies were collecting coins, sports memorabilia and attending auctions.Angelo was a passionate cook, often making some of his favorite family recipes passed downfrom his beloved Sicilian grandmother.A big limb has fallen from our family tree. Angelo cherished his family and friends and will bemissed as he has left an imprint on all who knew him.His mind is at ease and his soul is at rest.
