Carl Lucas of Homestead, Pennsylvania and Jupiter, Florida passed away March 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Carl was known for being a wonderful athlete, father, brother, partner, and friend. The height of his athletic career was his time on the Florida State University football team!  Although an injury kept him from pursuing football, he found a new love in golf, which he would carry throughout his life and share with his father. He also became a brother of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity during his time at Florida State and made lasting friendships.    He is survived by his mother, Nell Lucas, daughter, Christina Lucas, partner, Beverly Pope Sears, and his brother and sister, Tom and Linda Lucas.   A memorial service and celebration of life will be held for Carl on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Northwood Funeral Home, located at 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of West Palm Beach would be much appreciated.
