Donn Gary Vierengel, 69, of Greenacres, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025. Born on July 18, 1955, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Donn lived a life defined by dedication to his family, faith, and career. 

Donn’s professional journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence and service. For over 29 years, he served as the head of security at The Breakers in Palm Beach. During his tenure, he provided private security for numerous notable figures, including presidents, actors, and musicians. After leaving The Breakers, Donn transitioned into roles as a private investigator and bodyguard before finding his place as a manager at the EAU Palm Beach Spa and Resort. His work ethic and reliability earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike. Above all else, Donn cherished his family. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheryl Vierengel; his daughter Heather Vierengel and her two dogs with whom he shared his home during the last three years; his three sons Donn Jr., David, and Chris Vierengel; and his grandchildren Asyia, Mina, Ava, Braydon Vierengel; Laney Rogers; Aubrey Rogers; and Bailey Rogers. He is also survived by his sister Gina and nephews Jack and Kevin. Donn’s extended family of many other loved ones and friends will forever hold him in their hearts. 

Donn found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with family was always his greatest priority. He loved fishing trips that brought him closer to nature and afternoons spent watching football games. A man with a deep appreciation for good food, Donn also had a playful side that shone through in the jokes he loved to share. His sense of humor was matched only by his humility and compassion. Faith played a central role in Donn’s life. A devoted Christian who read the Bible daily, he found solace in scripture and worshiped online when cancer made attending church in person difficult. His steadfast belief in God guided him through life’s challenges and inspired those around him. Donn will be remembered as a humble yet strong protector—a hero to those who knew him. His kindness touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Northwood Funeral & Crematory located at 5608 Broadway in West Palm Beach, Florida (33467). Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Donn’s memory and celebrate the remarkable life he lived. May Donn Gary Vierengel’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
