Herbert “Bert” Mace, of West Palm Beach, joined his Heavenly Father on November 24th, 2021. He was 63 years old. Bert was born in Boulder, Colorado on August 3rd, 1958, to the late Mr. Herbert Brownlee Mace, and Mrs. Dawn Mace (nee Brittingham). He was gentle and kind, with a quick wit, a big intellect, and an even bigger heart. He spent his time pondering the big questions, and could often be found with a book in his hand. He was playful and quick with a joke, and could always be counted on for a listening ear and thoughtful advice.  

Herbert enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a very active communicant of his parish, the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola; was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6988; volunteered with the parish RCIA classes, and was there for anyone who needed him.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Robyn Law Mace of West Palm Beach; daughter Tonya (Rachel) Smith of Colorado; grandsons, Kevin & Isaac Smith of Colorado; and his sister, Bonnie Styer of Tennessee, 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, with Very Rev. Gavin J. Badway, Rector, presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Bert's memory to the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410.
