Ways you can honor Jerome's memory:
Jerome Roth was born in Manhattan, NY in 1935. He was the son of Katherine from Italy and Bernard from Hungary. In his youth, Jerry was quite the sportsman. He raced cars, owned a horse, and purchased a boat which he named “Fancy Face.” He graduated from Forest Hills High School with the distinct honor of “Best Dressed.” Jerry served in the Korean War as a Military Policeman between 1956 – 1958. When he returned to New York, he ran a string of bars with his father throughout various boroughs. He adored dogs of all breeds as they always borough a smile to his face – a trait he passed on to his daughter, Jessica who was born in 1970 with then wife, Helene. His first beloved dog was named Satin; perfect for the dubbed “Best Dressed!” Italian cuisine was his passion as he was a fantastic chef! He was inspired by his favorite restaurant, Patsy’s, in New York and the T-Bone Diner in Queens, which he often spoke of. Another one of his fine qualities was his sense of humor – he was known to share funny stories over dinner or when someone just needed a laugh. After a long chapter of living the good life in Florida with family, friends, his boat and a lot of laughs, he retired from being a hotel manager in Miami. He enjoyed a quiet life in his elder years where he enjoyed fine cigars, cocktails, and Western and War films. He is survived by his sisters, Hannah and Joanne, his cousin Elaine, brother-in-law David, his wife Wanda, and his daughters Lisa, Barbara, and Jessica.
