KENNETH HOWARD SLOTNICK April 26, 1948 – November 1, 2023

Kenneth Howard Slotnick, aged 75, of North Palm Beach, FL; beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 1, 2023.

On April 26, 1948, Ken was born in New York City to Leonard “Leo” and Rose Rosenthal Slotnick. The family moved to Conway, South Carolina shortly afterward. Ken loved music and in high school and during college breaks, Ken played the trumpet in a local band, The Customs, along the Grand Strand.

Ken was a diehard Gamecock fan and graduated in 1970 from the University of South Carolina. He worked in apparel manufacturing as well as sales management for over 35 years. Upon retirement, Ken and his loving wife of over 30 years, Dianne Dowling Slotnick, moved to Florida. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Joel Burton Slotnick (Anne) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and granddaughter Cheyenne Slotnick Hill of Greenville, SC. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Ryan Slotnick and his brother, Stewart Edmond Slotnick.

Ken found pleasure in cooking delicious meals for his friends and family, golfing with his buddies and spoiling his wife. Ken’s smile lit up the room and he will be forever missed.

“You can shed tears because they are gone, or you can smile because they lived. You can close your eyes and pray they come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that they left for you. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see them, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can cry and close your mind and feel empty, or you can do what they would want. Smile, Open your Heart, and Love…”

The family will hold a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trustbridge Hospice Care of Palm Beach County, https://trustbridge.com/give/.
