Your Hug Meant the World 

  Nobody else held me so tight Or made me feel so right No one‘s eyes shined so bright with love As my mom, who is now high above   -Tamsen Butler   The world lost a beloved mother and wife, Deborah Downs, on October 6, 2021.  Deborah battled breast cancer, but it never stopped her from fighting. Deborah died surrounded by her loving family while vacationing in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Lex, West Virginia on November 22, 1951. She was a talented beauty salon owner and was known as the "best around" wherever she went.  Deborah is survived by her daughter Michelle Green (John Green, Jr.); her husband Randall "Randy" Downs; her brother Tom Church, and her beloved grandchildren John and Emily Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosa Church. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, October 15, 2021, at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach. Committal Services and burial will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. Friends are invited to say goodbye to Deborah on Thursday evening, October 14, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.    A reception will follow her burial on Friday at the home of her daughter, Michelle Green, 10267 Hunt Club Ln., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. In lieu of lowers, the family asks for donations to Breast Cancer Research.
