Robert “Bob” Knapp 96, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus July 8, 2021.  His lovely wife, Phyllis of 66 years preceded him in 2012.  He was an avid and accomplished ballroom dancer after his retirement from the USPS for 37 years in Palm Beach, FL.  As Christians they faithfully attended and served in their church for any years where Bob served as a Deacon and Elder.     Bob served as paratrooper with 82nd Airborne Division during WWII.  He participated in the Normandy invasion, the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes and Market Garden in the Rhineland receiving the bronze star for his time in combat in those campaigns.   He will be laid to rest at the South Florida  National cemetery on July 14, 2021 surrounded by his immediate family.    He is survived by his two daughters Irene Sikich (Dave) and Suzanne Buckland (George) four grandchildren Jeff Sikich, Bob Sikich, Kelly Murphy Brannon (Will) and Dana Murphy (Irene), two great grandchildren Keara and Nicholas Sikich.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trustbridge Hospice of PBC who compassionately cared for Bob in his last days on earth or to a no-kill animal shelter because of Bob’s love for all his pets.
