Ways you can honor Robert's memory:
Robert D. Mantovani, passed away peacefully, at his home in Palm Beach Gardens, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Bob was born July 27, 1939, in Springfield, MA., the son of William and Blanche Mantovani (nee Mislak). He was raised in the south end of Springfield, educated in their school system, and graduated from Technical High School in 1957. Bob enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served his country. He went on to earn a M.E. degree from Western New England College, and worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut and Florida for many years. He permanently moved his family to Florida in 1976 where they have resided for over 40+ years. Bob was a loyal member of the Palm Beach Gardens Moose Lodge 2010 where he served in various positions for over 30 years. Bob loved to tease everyone with a smile and a laugh; enjoyed debating politics; fishing, playing cards, tending to his fruit trees, and telling the "occasional" inappropriate joke. Bob was also a Master Gardener, a title that he was very proud of. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Jeanne Mantovani (nee Keenan); two sons, Robb Mantovani and fiancé, Elisha, of Tennessee, and Thomas (Camie) Mantovani of Florida. He was "Nonno" to his cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia, and Merrick. Bob also leaves his sister, Sandra (John) Muia, where he spent many holidays and numerous good times; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Mike Jarvis, Karen and Jim Harabin, James and Sandy Keenan, Thomas and Bonnie Keenan; his Aunt, Mary Blaer; his close first cousins, Carole (Anthony) D' Amato, Frank (Lily) Dalto, and many, many, loved nieces, nephews, and other cousins. A Scripture Service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach. Further services and burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make contributions in Bob's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
