Wanda Jean Roth passed away September 17, 2023 at Palm Beach Garden’s medical center after several years in a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Her celebration of life service will begin at 5:00p.m.,Saturday September 24, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Palm Beach Gardens, 11980 Alt. A1A, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410.Wanda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 9, 1934, to Howard Bauer and Lorrain Hicks. She married Norman Selby Walton on May 10, 1951. They had three children; David and Barbara Walton and Lisa Rollins. Wanda and Norman moved to Florida in 1971 and enjoyed raising their children in North Lauderdale.In 1976, Wanda moved to North Miami and married Jerome Roth who had a young daughter, Jessica. Wanda began a successful career in the food and beverage industry at the Jocky Club and the Cricket Club in North Miami. She continued her career as the Event Planner at the High Ridge Country Club upon her move to Boynton Beach 1985. She especially enjoyed planning weddings, special parties, and events at the club. She was eventually promoted to the position of Food and Beverage Director, working there until her 75th birthday. She and Jerome moved to Palm Beach Gardens because they wanted to be closer to their children upon her retirement. Wanda was passionate about her Christian faith, her children, and her desire to make people happy in her career.Wanda was preceded in death by Norman Selby Walton, Jerome Roth; sister Joni Martin and her brother-in-law David Bohar.
