James Patrick Smith Jr., age 88 years, passed away peacefully at his home in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday, May 31st, with his loving wife Jane at his side. Jim was born in Troy, New York August 21, 1933. He graduated from Lansingburgh, High School in the class of 1951. In 1963 he and his wife Jane moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. James was employed as a District Manager for Hartley & Parker, Inc., Wine and Liquor after which he joined the staff of the National Distributing Company in Deerfield Beach, Florida for which he was a valued sales representative. He retired after twenty-five years of service. 

Jim loved sports and was an excellent swimmer and tennis player. Basketball was his other passion, one of his favorite past times was watching the Duke Blue Devils and Miami Heat play.

James is survived by his loving wife Jane Marsicano Smith, daughter Laura and husband Frank Giraldez, son Michael and his wife Angela Smith. Jim was also a loving "Pop-Pop" to his grandchildren Joshua McCoy, Jasmine Smith, Alexander Giraldez, Jayden Smith, and Jayson Smith.

Visitation will be held at Northwood Funeral Home 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach, FL, Thursday, June 2nd, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clare's Catholic Church on Prosperity Farms Road in North Palm Beach, Friday, June 3rd, 11:00 a.m. Reception following Mass from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. at Duffy's in Palm Beach Gardens.
