Ralph Joseph Gengo of Boynton Beach Florida passed away Sunday July 17th, 2022, at his home at the age of 67 years.
Ralph was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. He moved to Morganville, NJ in 1999 and then Boynton Beach, FL in 2013.
Ralph served 4 years in the US Navy where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, and received the Navy Unit Commendation.
Ralph joined the NY Police Department in 1983, Detective Gengo worked the 66 and 68 Precinct, MSTF, Intelligence Division and Crimes Against Persons Homicide Squad in the 122 Precinct where he retired in 1999 following a line-of-duty injury.
What Ralph cherished most was spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed Golf, Bocce, Bingo, Travel, and fishing. He loved decorating for Halloween, hosting parties, and Christmas celebrations with family. Ralph will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years Susan Gengo, his daughter Christina Gengo Lazazzero, son-in-law Peter Lazazzero, and his grandson Lucca James Lazazzero. Ralph is also survived by a sister Gale Guy.
A time for Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26th, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northwood Funeral Home, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach, Graveside Services with Honors will take place Wednesday, July 27th, 1:30, at South Florida National Cemetery of Lake Worth.Donations
