Ways you can honor Gloria's memory:
Gloria M. Ricci, born December 8, 1922, in Philadelphia, PA. to Tulio and Theresa Pacione Egizi; the youngest sister of Enez Posner, Clara Hepp, Violet Kane, and Frank Egizi. Gloria passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017. She was raised in Woodlynne, NJ, and graduated from Collingswood NJ High School, where she met her future husband, Roland Ricci. In High School, she was Captain of the field hockey team, and after graduation, she attended beauty school and opened her first salon. She married Roland Ricci on June 15, 1946, and he went off to serve in World War II as a Navy pilot. After his graduation from Syracuse University in 1950, they returned to Collingswood, NJ, and began their family. In 1958, Gloria and Roland moved to Singer Island, which was their dream. She raised her three "perfect" children, The Hon. Susan (Peter) Cohen of Wellesley, MA., Janice (Jerry) Feldman of Weston, MA., and Dr. Richard (Susan) Ricci of North Palm Beach. Gloria spent many years volunteering at St. Francis of Assisi Parish and School in Riviera Beach, and at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach. She chaired the Ladies Guild for over 20 years, and loved her weekly Mah Jong sessions with her girlfriends for over 40 years. Gloria loved dancing and knew words to every song. She loved travelling to Europe and Cozumel. Her passions were her family, her friends, shopping, entertaining, her home and parties. Gloria's six grandchildren were the joy of her life; Marissa Feldman, Zachary Feldman, Alexander Cohen, Matthew Ricci, Michael Ricci, and Christiana Ricci. Gloria's door was always open and her house was full day and night. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at TAYLOR & MODEEN FUNERAL HOME, 250 Center Street, Jupiter. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 16, 2017, at St. Clare Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, with Rev. Fr. William D. O'Shea presiding. Committal Services and Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks donations in Gloria's memory, in honor of her granddaughter, Marissa Feldman, to the Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, Massachusetts 02215, or visit www.childrenshospital.org/ways-to-help.
