It is with sadness that the family of Lillian M. Eilbacher announce her passing on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in North Palm Beach, Florida at the grand age of 94.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by herfive children; daughter, Susan and four sons, Ross, David, Gregory all in New Jersey and Frank Jr. of Maryland, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Lillian lived her life with passion, devotion to her family, deep faith and beliefs with grace every step along the way.
Born in Newton, Massachusetts in May 1926, the daughter of Lillian and Edward Ross. She was raised and schooled there until graduation when moved to New York City pursuing a career in Interior Design.
In 1947 she married Frank H. Eilbacher of Elizabeth, N.J., and settled in New Jersey and raised five children in Milltown and then in Scotch Plains, NJ for approx. 50 years. After her husband Frank retired they moved to North Palm Beach, Fl.
She was passionate about many activities:
Figure skating as a child
Snow skiing until age 75
Studied painting with Maxwell Stewart Simpson
Designed sets for Immaculate Heart Players in Scotch Plains, NJ
Commercial Interior Designer and Teacher of Interior Design at Kean College
Volunteering to teach English as a second language
Realtor for Barret and Crane
Board Director for Women for Women
She was as equally passionate whether debating in Toastmasters International, Docent at Newark's Cathedral of the Sacred Heart as she was with gardening at home, at her church, flower arranging sewing for her family.
Her deep faith abounded as an active parishioner, committee member and Eucharist Minister at both Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scotch Plains and St. Paul of the Cross Church in North Palm Beach. With God in her heart and Living in the Divine Will she celebrated Life each day.
As a Mother, Grandmother, and Friend, she was much loved and will be deeply missed by her family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Lillian's life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
Memorial donations in her honor may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Mercy Corps.
