Tim Whisner passed away on October 20th at the age of 75. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Kate Aluisy Ketchens, and his brother, Tom, and is survived by his stepson, Jason (Betheny) Ketchens, and sister, Chris Druhan. A lifelong resident of the Palm Beaches, he attended St. Ann and Cardinal Newman High School, where he was an all-conference football, basketball, and track star. He was an honorary captain of the football team and part of the All 50 Year Football Team as well. He was the first Cardinal Newman athlete invited to the state track tournament, where he finished 3rd in the 440 yard run, and he also competed in the 1963 State Decathlon. In the 1970s, he supervised the renovation of the current location of the Palm Beach Yacht Club, and, in the 1980s, he partnered with Kate to reopen County Line Pizza. An avid car buff, he enjoyed both selling and driving them. A private Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated with a public Memorial Mass to follow in the future. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hazelden Foundation.
