Ways you can honor Ann's memory:
Ann V Miller, 74, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on November 9, 2022. She was born to parents Sarah Virginia Miller/Stolworthy and Edward John Miller, on January 23, 1948, in Norwich, Connecticut.
Ann is survived by her wife, Patricia A. Rowland. They met in 1979 and were committed to each other since that time. They were married on July 7, 2006, in Provincetown, MA.
She also is survived by many beloved cousins. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Ed.
Ann graduated from Academy of the Holy Family High School in 1966, received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Connecticut State University, and went on to study Social Work at Indiana University, graduating with her Master's in social work.
Ann served as the Executive Director of the Koala Center in Columbus, IN. Then, after relocating to South Florida, she became a Program Instructor for the Florida Atlantic University MSW Program until her retirement.
She was passionate about her wife, golf, and assuring that all people are treated with equity and that people in need are helped and treated with respect. And…..GOLF!
Our world has lost a bright light in Ann. The depth of her integrity, her cheerfulness, her bravery in coping with cancer in her life for so many years, and her deep commitment to those she loved will be profoundly missed. As Ann did, be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you while you can.
To honor Ann’s memory, a private memorial is being scheduled in the near future on Zoom. Rev. Irene Monroe will officiate the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Tee, Michael B. Finnegan Learning Center, Dyer Park.
This is where the Adaptive Golf program is that brought her so much joy in the last two years.
