Helen J. Comer brought joy to all with her unmatched charm and angelic voice, all while loving life to its fullest. Most of all she loved her beloved husband, Don, who predeceased her on October 21, 2021, her children, grandchildren, and friends. Helen passed on December 9, 2021, from natural causes.

Helen was born on July 1, 1930, a daughter of Henriette and Joseph N. Dibs. She attended Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, New York, graduating at 16 years old. She continued her education at Juilliard School of Music and Hofstra University graduating with a master's degree. She loved her career as a reading specialist/teacher for the Plainedge School District.

Helen met Don Comer and they were happily married on January 5, 1952. They resided in N. Massapequa and had three children-Robert Donald, Elyse Dawn, and Dawn Marie. She brought great warmth and love to the family home.

After their lives in N. Massapequa and their careers, Helen and Don moved to Boynton Beach where they continued their social lifestyle. Helen was the life of the party, overflowing with bright eyes and a smile that captivated you.

Helen is now in heaven, continuing her love story with her beloved Don "Blue Eyes". Helen is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert and Susann Comer, Gina (ne Elyse) and Gerard Borelli, Dawn and Joseph Del Rossi; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christine and Eric Armstrong, Josh and Taylor Davis, Joseph Del Rossi, Jr., Jessica Del Rossi, Mario, Michelle, Sage, and Kaia Garcia, and Nicole and Brian Silver. Also surviving is her sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Wally Hill.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon Wednesday, January 5, 2022, Helen and Don's 70th Wedding Anniversary, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth. Committal Services and burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery.
