John A.Gintoli, 94, of Juno Beach, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018, in his residence, with his loving family by his side. John was born July 11, 1924 on Manhattan Island, New York City, to Michael and JennieGintoli, the third oldest of nine children. He served in the United States Army-Air Corps, Southeast Asia Command, and was honorably discharged as Sergeant in 1946. John recently traveled to Washington, D.C. as a guest of the World War II Warriors Honor Flight. In 1952, John moved to Miami and established three electronic retail operations, then later became a manufacturer's representative. In 1970, John and his family moved to Juno Beach and became involved in the building of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, where he was a faithful communicant for 48 years, and active in several ministries, as well as the St. VincentdePaul Society,Cursillo, the Serra Club of Palm Beach, the Sons of Italy, andprison ministry. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Father AndrewDohertyAssembly 0155. John was married toJoAnnfor the past 56 years, and had two children, Christine (Roger) and Bonnie (Frank); and five grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary, Sierra, Sabrina, and Carlee. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. TomLafrenierepresiding. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to: St. VincentdePaul Society in care of St. Paul of the Cross, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, Florida 33408.
